I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This was our first year hosting Thanksgiving at our house and it was a miracle that all the food turned out fabulous, we didn’t burn down the house, and everyone had a great time! How did your Thanksgiving go? Did you host this year? I know it’s past Thanksgiving but I thought I would share what I came up with for our last minute Thanksgiving Holiday Table.

By using items I already had on hand plus the purchase of a burlap table runner and white linen napkins, I was able to create this beautiful, yet simple table for our family to enjoy.

I shared some of my Thanksgiving Tablescape inspirations along with my plans on how I was going to decorate ours, and I think I pretty much nailed the idea I had in my head.

The table isn’t expensive looking, or elegant, or too over the top. But, that wasn’t the look I was going for anyways.

I wanted pretty, simple, and inviting.

My favorite part was the DIY place setting tags that I made using simple brown paper tags and raffia to tie them around our silverware that was wrapped in white linen napkins.  I threw in a faux leafy stem to add interest.  I love how it turned out.

I reused dollar store pumpkins {scroll on the page link and look for the video segment of my dollar store pumpkins} that I made over mixed with pinecones and more faux leafy stems as the centerpiece along top of the burlap table runner.

It really was a quick and easy centerpiece, that ended up feeling festive but not too over the top.

I pulled out some wine glasses and used our mason jars for drinking glasses. {we always use mason jars to drink from in our house :) }

Here’s an upclose picture of the table setting.  The dinner plates were given to me and were my aunts who passed away….they have sentimental meaning to us and I really love them.  The smaller beaded salad plate was  a set that I received for Christmas last year from my parents. They mimic the Emma collection from Pottery Barn….almost identically.  Our silverware is old and worn and we need a new set. But, it served its purpose.

Dreaming of new silverware….someday. {sigh}

And here is an upclose of the DIY place setting tags.  I have always wanted to have place settings and this was the perfect occasion to give it a whirl!

Please feel free to pin any of these pictures for inspiration for your next year’s Thanksgiving table and I’d love to hear what you think of our table.

Do you like it?

Have you decorated with a similar theme on your table? We’d love to hear in the comment below.

    This is beautiful. I don’t even know how you had time for those simple tags, with a baby to chase, but they’re great.

    Were there just six of you? That’s a nice size group for your first time hosting.

    Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks, Laura! I fully utilize nap time to the fullest around here!!! That’s how I get anything fobs…haha, but honestly the tags were premised from Hobby Lobby and I just had to write on them :) we just had 6, so it was a great transition into hosting Thanksgiving. Next year we hope to host more!!
