To kick off a new week and to share my thrifty ideas for our “Thrift It” Challenge which takes place tomorrow {be there!}, I am sharing with you how we did Upcycling Pallet Wood Projects.
Go HERE to see the entire post on our DIY Factory Cart Table
One of our first projects we made DIY upcycling pallet wood was our DIY Factory Cart Table {A Restoration Hardware Knockoff}. This is my absolute favorite project so far because #1, my hubby made it by hand {he is amaing} and #2, I love reclaimed pieces that are both vintage and industrial. This is the perfect mix of both styles coming together and the factory cart looks perfect in our newly updated formal living room turned family room. You can read more about this transformation progress HERE.
With leftover pallet wood for the factory cart table, we decided to make reclaimed pallet wood art for our family room. This piece was very easy to make and looks really cool. I am still not finished with it….it will eventually have something on it, either subway art or a sunburst mirror. I can’t decide which direction I want to go. Thoughts?
I love that we were able to take some thrown out pallets and turn them into two wonderful pieces for our home. The best part is…the table cost under $100 to make {a big drop in price from Restoration Hardware’s which costs $995} and the wall art was free! Those are my kind of prices!!
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow and link up with us for the Dog Days (of Winter) Are Over “MAKE IT” Challenge!
If you link up on just ONE of our blogs, your project will be seen on all NINE blogs!
If you don’t have a blog, we would still LOVE for you to join in. Share a picture of your thrifty project on my Facebook Page!

That is going to look really cool….and I LOVE that cart! I’d never seen it before. It is so awesome! I think you should do something sort of kid-ish, but also retro graphic on it. Something simple and easy enough to paint, and not take over the entire wood, but graphic and fun. Perfect for a playroom and not overdone.
Thanks, Katie! I like your ideas!! The wall art will now be staying in the family room…so i am thinking subway art. What do you think?

Thanks, Tonya!!
I am obsessed with the table but am still wondering what to add to the wall art…it need something. I am leaning towards subway art. What do you think?

I love both of these projects. I’m such a sucker for pallets and anything rustic. And I’m pretty sure I’ve had your pallet table pinned forever. I really need to make one!

These are great projects. I love the table the best! Thanks for hosting the Thrift It Link Party!
I’m dying I love this! My husband is really learning to use power tools and I am the master with the paint and stain. Hopefully we came make some fun things like this in the future!
Love me some pallet wood. I’ve been wanting to do something above my TV with our initials and you got me thinking about what to do. I am going to make a canvas of pallet wood and on top it add out letters. Super excited now. I’ve done art with barn wood but now I will add on with having some pallet wood on the wall.
I love this article. I never would have thought to use old pallets this way. I am inspired to try my luck doing something like this.
