The baby’s nursery has been a work in progress over the past year. I feel like I am so indecisive on his space because I haven’t found “the look” I was going for. The other day I decided to put together a style board to help put my ideas together and see it all together before purchasing items, making items, etc.
This is what I came up with….
What do you think? Does it scream little boy? J
#1 The crib is a dark finish with a masculine feel to it.
#2 A cubed storage solution will be used in the closet to store books and toys.
#3 I will be combining grey and orange colored fabrics along with the checked fabric that is in there currently to create a neutral pallet with a pop of color.
#4 DIY Galvanized letters for my son’s initials will go up on the gallery wall.
#5 A vintage car/truck theme is the foundation for the space.
#6 A galvanized bucket will be used for a unique way to store stuffed animals.
#7 DIY pendant light with a galvanized finished.
#8 Vintage license plates and signs = love
#9 Canvas storage bins offer clean, simplified organization. I will paint grey strips on them like the ones shown to flow with the rest of the space.
#10 And last but not least, the gallery wall. I feel this is the highlight of the room and adds the most character, details, and fun!
I have already started on some of the changes which included updates to his gallery wall, changing out of fabric styles, making pillows, DIY crib sheet, and DIY painted curtains. I hope to have everything completed by the end of this week and then I can MOVE ON to the other unfinished rooms in our home {all of them}. Haha!
I will keep you updated on the progress and provide tutorials on some of the items I am making.

I love it all…..and that gallery wall and industrail feel… Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia
I love the idea of a vintage car/truck room! I did a similar theme in my 2 year olds room and it has such a fun feel-and something they can grow with! Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Love it! I should make a style tile when it comes to redecorating a room so I don’t feel so lost!! I have those storage baskets for Alex but they are white and navy. We love them! Very clean and crisp
Thank you! @Mommy2Maddiealex, where did you find your white and navy totes?
I adore everything about this board…how you incorporated the vintage truck the pop of orange…I think it’s gonna rock ! Thank you so much for stopping by and linking up at our first HAPPY HOUR FRIDAY party…I’m a fan …xo
